What are the memories you have from back in the days?

I remember when me and my sister use to role play with Barbie’s. I always watched dragon ball Z and Sailor moon. I remember the first episodes of sonic and Pokemon. Clarissa explains it all was a favorite of mine as well as the first mortal combat and sonic on the Sega Genesis. I remember playing knock on the neighbors door, then we knock again and hid. And every time a bus drove by the neighborhood kid would throw rocks at it. I always hung out in the library and go online to check out everything I could on Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. I loved to print out the pictures and drawing the characters until we had to pay 15 cent. Back then I was too poor to pay for that. But having less seem more better. And when me and my sis would be tucked in the bead, we would role play stories about what would the new Dragon ball Z episode be like until 3 am. Those were the days. Simple and care free. What memories do you have?

Oh my, the memories I have are from a LONG time ago. I used to listen to the Radio, we listened to Jack Armstrong the All American boy, Orphan Annie, The Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet. Most were 15 minute shows in those days. I recall the First time Captain Midnight was heard. We used our minds to picture what they looked like. There were crime dramas The Shadow. Mr District Attorney, Gang Busters. Action ones Don Winslow of the Navy, The Marines tell it to you, Dick Tracy. Comedy was king with Edger Bergan, Fred Allen, Fibber Mc Gee and Molly. George Burns and Gracie Allen, and of course Jack Benny. His sponser was Jello. Don Wilsons open line was ” Jello again”. There were give away shows .. To me the biggert prize was the Piper Cub Airplane that “Wings Cigarettes” used give away.
I remember coming home from school one day, my Mom and the neighborhood ladies were out in an open field over an open fire making applebutter. That was during the depression, the men had been out in the hills picking apples, for a while, Mom gave me a piece of home made bread put some warm apple butter on it, talk about heaven that was it.
We left West Virginia in Oct 1938 for Calif. Things I remember about the trip, We saw a bear named Nehi it was a soft drink not sure this is spelled correctly, There was a dign on his cage saying “Although my name is Nehi I won’t turn down a Coca Cola” In those days Coke was a a 6 ounce bottle. Pepsi came out with a 12 ounce bottle. In those days pop was .05 cents a bottle or 6 for .25 cents.
If you want more memories I have lots more lol. Oh I remember seeing the ocean, we went to Long Beach, I remember it was hot, all of us got sunburned. That was in Nov of 1938.
