can i make a beaded headband?
I just bought a beading loom that can accomodate projects up to 40″ in length but it hasn’t come in the mail yet. I have 6 different colors of seed beads. I like the diamond pattern of beading (not really sure what its called) but it is fairly simple and has that native american feel to it. I have ever beaded before so any links to patterns are great! and really needed! I was wondering if I could use elastic string instead of regular beading string and make the beading an elastic-y headband.
sort of like this but without the black elastic thing at the bottom (and not that pattern!!)

My friend has one from nordstrom but i couldnt find it. want to make sure it wont come undone when im wearing it in my hair… that would stink ![]()
should i just tie it or should i use some kind of a clasp?
anyways any patterns, suggestions, or advice is always helpful!
*never beaded before
Yes, you can use elastic string, I do it all the time. To make sure it doesn’t come undone use a surgeon’s knot, weave the tail through a few beads and do another knot. Put glue on both knots and let dry. Works for me!
