which dress should I pick for winter ball?
The promotional posters I’ve seen ask for “formal wear”, specifically saying that guys should wear suits or tuxedos and girls should wear ball gowns or evening wear.
I was planning to wear my old prom dress, which is a champagne color with ruched V-neck and a slightly gathered waist in the back. The best part of the dress is the back, which is sheer and tiny beads are stitched in an elegant pattern.
However!
I have this awesome 1920′s fringed dress (made from jersey). It’s white, which makes it perfect for a winter dance. It would also be better for dancing (being only knee length), but I don’t think it quite qualifies as “formal” wear.
I’m not sure what other people will be wearing. It’s a college dance, by the way, so I know there will probably be people who won’t make the effort to dress up. My date, however, is wearing a tux.
