Beading Oil

I just had a concrete patio poured at my house. I hosed it down and the water mixed with some sort of oil.?
Water beads up on the concrete and it smells of oil. Caould the pump they used to pump the concrete into the yard have caused this?
the pump is not the problem. generally, after your concrete is poured and finished, the contractor sprays it with a protective sealant, which has some kind of oil in it. i would mix some mild detergent in a couple gallons of water and pour it over your patio, then hose it off. it may take a couple applications of the mix to fix your oil film and odor. or you could call the contractor and ask them.
