Beading Necklace Projects

Craft help! Looking for liquid to use in a project!?
I’m trying to make these little necklaces. They are little glass vials that I want to fill with colored liquid, glitter, beads and what-not. My problem is the colored liquid. Dyed water causes everything to float and clump. I’m trying rubbing alcohol, but I was informed that the properties of the alcohol will make the food dye vanish over time. The blue one I made is already fading.
My question is: What liquid would hold a dye while allowing the things inside to sink to the bottom?
Edit: I don’t want them to float, I want the stuff to sink.
It wasn’t cute when the glitter floated.
Second Edit: I tried mineral oil and it didn’t dye.
How about filling the vial with glitter or whatever you want, first. Then pour a colored Gel mixture over it. This will ensure that the glitter will remain at the bottom & the gel will hopefully keep its color too. You can make your own gel solution using gelatin & food colorings/dye. However, you may have to do some trials till you get the right consistency.
Hope this helps
Enjoy
