Stay at home Moms – what can I do to feel FULFILLED while at home? I ‘m not just bored,but feeling purposeless

My daughter is 20 mths old, and I have not been working outside the home since a year before she was born. My problem is not simply that I am bored – I AM bored too, but we do try to get out for playdates, plus we go to Gymboree, Swim “lessons”, and a baby music course. But… as much as I love her, and she gets more fun, interesting and amazing every week now, the routine of feeding, dressing and changing her does nothing to fulfill me. I feel so… unaccomplished, perhaps? I have tried to find a sitter to give me a break during the day, without luck (daycare/sitter shortage in my city). My daughter also becomes very unhappy when I “leave her alone” to play for longer than 10 minutes or so. But doing wooden puzzles, stringing beads, and reading the same favourite book of hers 7 times a day just doesn’t thrill me anymore! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You need to make sometime for yourself. It isn’t something you should do you need to do it. Everyone deserves a break. In your me time you should pick up a hobby, or do something you have not been able to do in a while. Go out with some friends, or make a special date night for you and hubby.
