Help with a hair wrap?
you know a hair wrap. like you can get at disney world, where they take string and sometimes add beads then wrap around your hair then it like stays for a couple weeks. well i looked on the web it says you can do it at home. i cant really understand the directions. dose anyone have DETAILED directions? or mabey a instruction video of how to do it? please help
When you start the hair wrap make sure you have a lot of the string you need. The way my friends and I do it is basically by getting 3-4 colors and only one VERY long piece of each. fold each one in half around the little bit of hair your wraping. Then tie a knot witht the string around the hair you want in it. If you see that is keeps slipping out you can use a small clip to hold it while you start the wrap because after about an inch the knot will hold itself up just fine. Then you lay all the colors, except the one you want first, with the hair. From there its really easy, just wrap and wrap it around your hair until you have the desired length. Make sure you pull tight enough throughout the entire thing or you’ll have gaps. Once your done with the color make a 4 shaped knot with the string so that color will stay in place and you can continue with the next color. Do that until the very end, and once you tie it off you can add beads or whatever you’d like.
I reccommend wetting the hair first, it helps eliminate frizz and makes wrapping easier. Clipping all of the hair your not using also helps so you avoid grabbing unnecessary hair. It takes a lot of practice but once you get it it’ll get easy. Good luck!
Heres a video that also gives advice, a little different then mine, but essentially the same stuff.
