I need a fairly cheap craft project from madagascar, africa?!?
my troop is doing the madagascar theme (not the cartoon). we are gonna have all the troops in our area do these for thinking day in girl scouts. so we need something fast, cheap to do at our booth. please help other troops are doing the foods, and other stuff. we though about something with beads, or masks or something or even the flag from there but we need ideas to make one of these happen.
Go to www.craftsforkids.com. They have a spoon you can paint that represents Madagascar. Some of the painting you can do beforehand, like painting the spoons the base color and outlining or having the spoons set up in the different stages at the booth and having the kids complete them. Who knows?, you may even be able to sell them. Wooden spoons can be found at dollar stores in groups of 5 or 6. Paint is pretty cheap if your group is tax exempt and you have flyer coupons from craft stores. Check out Michael’s, Jo Ann Fabrics or A.C. Moore, as they tend to have online as well as in store flyers with coupons. You can even make your own paint out of glue and food coloring. Good luck.
