how to get rid of blemishes on very pale skin?

I have white skin but there are blemishes that don’t go away unless I cake on foundation then it looks good. I want to get rid of the redness! I have never had acne in my life, so i don’t need any heavy stuff for acne. those beads hurt my skin, and feels like im scraping my face off..so thats out. I’m 18. what should i use?
