Beading Clasps

What are some good beading profects for begingers?
I have seed beads, pony beads(i think thats what there called) Med sized beads, big beads I ran out of clasps!!! (cry) 
I recommend teaching how to *knot* bead strands. This is as is done with nice pearl and/or amber necklaces.
I have a pet method that works well for me (not the standard one). Determine how much thread will almost fill the bead hole. This should me an even number of strands. Use *half* that doubled through the needle (you can make your own needle for this with twisted wire).
You’ll want a working length 3x strand length. Begin with a plain knot about 6″ from the loose end and put a safety pin between the two strands to keep the beads from sliding off. Thread on one bead. *Do a -loose- knot after that bead, divide the two strands and pull them apart and the knot will slid down and nestle by the bead*, repeat, repeat, repeat until there is 6″ of thread left. Remove the needle. Remove the safety pin. Hold the ends *together* and knot them just like all of the earlier knots and pull the ends apart to make the knot nestle. The knot may be stabilized with glue. The knot/tassel is a “design element” rather than something to be concealed.
With a 24″ strand of lapis, I finished with 24″ necklace and a few extra beads for earrings. The alternative is that the item finishes longer than when strung plain.
