Can you crimp rollo chain?

I know you can crimp *some* type of chain, and I know that with thinner rollo chain you can use crimp ends, but can you put crimps on to hold beads in the middle?
I had a great pair of earrings that I lost and want to duplicate. I would connect beads using wrapped loops and normal chain, but it just won’t achieve the same thing.

Why would you want to? Use jumprings to attach little bead dangles. Or, make a figure-8 loop with the bead in the middle and attach that with jumprings to a gap in the chain. 20ga wire works best for these kinds of loops.
