wedding dress alterations.?

Is it possible to change the enclosure on a dress from a zipper to a lace up. there is a little beading and embroidery on the back but really not too much, and i’m not worried about lousing it. I just want to know if this is possible.

Any good seamstress can handle this. My seamstress is actually doing this for one of my brides for $80. It shouldn’t make any difference to what is on the dress because the loops will go where the zipper once was.
